27 Kilograms. That Is All It Takes to Change How You Cast.

High-end casting technology has traditionally been out of reach for small jewellery workshops requiring large setups, high power, and heavy investment. The Indutherm MC 20 V changes that.

Twenty-seven kilograms. You could carry it in from the car yourself.

It sits on a table. Takes up less space than a desktop printer. Plugs into a regular single-phase 230V socket the same one running your polishing motor.

And inside those 27 kilograms: vacuum melting, overpressure casting up to 3 bar, award-winning vibration technology, optical pyrometer control up to 2,000°C, inert gas protection, programme storage, and the ability to cast gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and steel.

This is the Indutherm MC20V. And if you run a workshop that has always assumed German casting technology was meant for someone else someone bigger, with more space, more power, more budget yeh machine aapke liye bani hai.

The Gap Between Skill and Equipment

We visit workshops across India. The craftsmanship is extraordinary intricate designs, detailed filigree, pieces that would hold their own against anything produced in Europe.

And then you look at the casting setup.

Torch melting with visual temperature guessing. Open-air pouring with oxidation eating into metal yield. No vacuum, so porosity is a constant companion. No vibration, so intricate moulds fill inconsistently. Every cast is a gamble sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes the same piece comes out with voids.

The skill is there. The equipment is not. And the assumption has always been: “Vacuum casting machine matlab bada setup chahiye. Three-phase power. Dedicated room. Bada investment.”

That assumption is no longer true.

German Engineering on Your Workbench

The MC20V is Indutherm’s compact tabletop casting machine built on the same tilting principle as their larger professional systems, but designed specifically for workshops, ateliers, and growing operations that need real casting capability without industrial infrastructure.

What does “real casting capability” mean in practical terms?

Vacuum and Inert Gas Melting: Your metal melts in a protected environment no oxidation, no gas pickup. What goes into the crucible comes out in the casting. Oxidation loss practically zero.

Overpressure Up To 3 Bar: Metal is pushed into every detail of the mould. Thin walls, fine prongs, intricate filigree the kind of work where gravity alone is not enough.

Vibration Technology: Indutherm’s patent-pending system activates during casting to improve mould filling, increase density, and reduce porosity. This is the same vibration system that won industry awards in their larger machines now available in a tabletop format for the first time.

Optical Pyrometer to 2,000°C: Accurate, non-contact temperature measurement means you are casting at the right temperature every time not guessing by colour. This makes platinum and palladium casting possible in a machine this size.

Programme Control with Storage: Set your parameters once for each alloy and piece type. Save them. Recall them. Har baar naye se setting karne ki zaroorat nahi.

What This Changes on Your Casting Floor

Traditional manual casting relies on visual temperature control and operator judgment, with melting in open air leading to oxidation. Mould filling via gravity or centrifugal force often results in unpredictable porosity, and limits metals to gold and silver. Outcomes are operator-dependent, with variable power needs and a dedicated floor space required.

In contrast, the Indutherm MC20V provides precise temperature control up to 2,000°C, operating in vacuum or inert gas to reduce oxidation. Its 3 bar overpressure with vibration ensures better mould filling and low porosity, while supporting Au, Ag, Pt, Pd, and steel. With programmable repeatability, compact tabletop size, and single-phase power, it delivers consistent, efficient, and space-saving performance.

From Wax to Casting in Under 4 Hours

With standard investment material, the MC20V completes a full cycle wax to finished casting in under four hours. With speed investment compounds, under two hours.

For a small workshop running custom orders, that means same-day casting. A client walks in with a design in the morning, you hand over a finished casting by afternoon. Woh speed sirf bade setup mein milti thi. Ab nahi.

What This Machine Is Not

The MC20V casts up to 100g of 18kt gold per cycle. That is not high-volume production if you are running large batches with big flasks, this is not your machine. Look at the Indutherm MC60V, MC100V, or the VC Series for those requirements.

Flask sizes go up to 80mm diameter × 80mm height. Complex multi-piece trees that need larger flasks will not fit. This machine is built for smaller, precision-focused work custom pieces, prototypes, designer collections, small-batch production.

And as with any casting equipment: the machine controls the process, but it does not fix bad wax work, poor investment, or incorrect burnout cycles. Par agar aapka wax work clean hai aur investment process sahi hai the MC20V will give you castings you have never been able to achieve with manual methods.

Worth a Closer Look?

If you run a workshop, a design studio, or a growing operation and you have been casting manually or thinking about adding casting capability for the first time this is the machine to evaluate.

Single-phase power. Tabletop footprint. Multi-metal capability. German engineering with local support from Precious Alloys.
